About Deja Groove
Very few would have failed to be totally impressed by the recent performance of Deja Groove when they took to the main stage at Sligo’s recent Summer festival 2017.
The level of professionalism and musicianship that the band has risen to since the band started 10 years ago, has for very good reason, made them one of Irelands most sought-after wedding bands.
Deja Groove can change the tempo and musical genre to match the mood of the crowd in the flick of a switch, and are able change easily from chart hits, to classic rock, to good old-fashioned country music as the requests fly in from the packed dance floor.
Set up in 2006 by bass player and band leader David Griffith, (having previously learnt his trade with the legendary Dublin band “Dead Ringers”) the band now includes the charismatic guitarist and vocalist Tabby Callaghan, who has since his days as an X-Factor finalist, has gone on to achieve a maximum level of professionalism and showmanship. Tabby is a star in his own right.
Similarly, with Marie Conway, the bands female lead vocalist, who following her days as an X-Factor finalist, performed as lead vocalist with her own band . Marie has now honed her performance skills and vocal ability to sky-high level of professional performance. Her vocals are a pure delight.
Together, the joint performance of Tabby and Marie is highly polished, exciting powerful and captivating. Competently backed by Keyboardist and co -vocalist Gavan, bassist and co-vocalist David and drummer Matt, the band are obviously enjoying what they are doing, which transmits itself to the audience.
This band are fun and can be guaranteed to set any audience alight.
The many years of hard work that Deja Groove has put in has justifiably made them one of Irelands most sought after corporate wedding bands, which is reflected in their successive years as being voted the Best Wedding Band in Connaught and constant finalist in wedding band of the year.
If you are planning a wedding or big event in the near future, Deja Groove is the band that you want to be on the phone to.
